Reasons to have your chimney inspected....
Exhaust from furnace and hot water tanks
deteriorate clay flue tiles. Now that part of the
lining is broken apart,  where is the carbon
monoxide gases going?  Into your house.
This chimney needs to be re-lined.
Birds love to build nests in chimneys.  This
metal surround had three feet of hay/straw
packed around the pipes.  The birds have
also dropped debris inside of the air
insulated pipes, creating a fire hazard.

Please have your chimney inspected.
This Picture shows a liner that is NOT hooked
